Arles in 1888 he hoped to encourage other artists to join him, but
Gauguin alone made the journey. The lecture includes images created
before and after the period in Arles, but concentrates on those brief,
but highly significant, three months spent in The Little Yellow House.

Three Wise Men

The term “Magi” refers to
the Zoroastrian priest-sages, anonymous wise men who were specialists in
medicine, religion and astronomy. The adoration of the Magi is one of
the most popular religious subjects for the great artists and we follow
their work over five centuries starting in 12th century Pisa.
